AiHookr ("we," "our," "us," or "the Company") operates the AiHookr mobile application (the "App") available on the Google Play Store. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you download, install, and use our App.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in a transparent, fair, and lawful manner. This Privacy Policy is written to fully comply with the Google Play Developer Program Policies (updated April 2026), Google Play Data Safety requirements, Google Play AI-Generated Content Policy, Google Play Account Deletion requirements, the Bangladesh Digital Security Act, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) where applicable.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using AiHookr. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App and uninstall it from your device.

1. Who We Are

AiHookr is an AI-powered content creation tool designed to help South Asian creators — primarily in Bangladesh — generate viral scripts, hooks, hashtags, and captions for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and WhatsApp. The App uses Firebase as its backend infrastructure and Google's Gemini AI (Firebase AI) to generate content.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our service. Below is a complete and honest disclosure of every type of data we collect.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account Registration Data: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password, or your Google account information. If you register with your phone number, we collect it for OTP verification.
  • Profile Information: You may optionally provide a profile photo, display name, and preferred creator niches (Comedy, Fashion, Tech, etc.).
  • User-Generated Content: When you use the tools, we collect the text prompts, inputs, and queries you type.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device model, OS version, device language, screen resolution, and time zone.
  • Device Identifiers: Android Device ID (as required by Google Play policy) and Google Advertising ID (if enabled).
  • Usage Data: Screens visited, features used, scripts generated, and session duration.
  • Log & Performance Data: IP address, error reports, crash data, and app load times.
  • Subscription Data: Purchase confirmation, plan type, and region (processed directly via Google Play Billing). We do NOT receive your card details.
  • Notification Data: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token for push notifications (if granted).

2.3 Information Collected Through Third-Party SDKs

We use the following Google services. You can review their privacy policies via the links provided:

  • Firebase Authentication: Manages secure logins.
  • Firebase Firestore: Stores profile and script data.
  • Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics: Monitors app usage and bugs.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging & Remote Config: Handles notifications and live app updates.

  • To Create & Manage Account: Verify identity and secure logins.
  • To Provide Core Features: Generate customized AI scripts and responses based on your niche.
  • To Manage Subscriptions & Limits: Enforce free-tier usage limits and unlock Pro features.
  • To Send Notifications: Send trending alerts and streak reminders (with consent).
  • To Improve the App: Analyze crash reports and optimize performance.
  • To Ensure Safety: Prevent fraud, abuse, and enforce Terms of Service.
  • To Show Relevant Ads: Free users opting to watch rewarded ads will receive AdMob ads.

If you are located in the EEA or UK, our legal bases are:

  • Contractual Necessity: To provide the service you signed up for.
  • Legitimate Interests: To maintain app stability and prevent fraud.
  • Consent: For personalized ads and push notifications (revocable anytime).
  • Legal Obligation: To comply with applicable laws.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclosure

In compliance with Google Play's AI-Generated Content Policy:

  • All scripts, captions, and responses in the App are produced by Google's Gemini AI.
  • AI-generated content is clearly labeled within the App.
  • AiHookr includes safety filters to block violations of local laws, hate speech, and harmful content.
  • You are responsible for reviewing AI content before publishing it on social media.
  • Please do not enter sensitive personal or financial information into the AI prompts.

If you encounter harmful content, report it immediately via the in-app feature or to support@aihookr.com.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in these circumstances:

  • With Service Providers: Google (Firebase, Gemini, AdMob, Play Billing) as described in Section 2.
  • For Legal Compliance: If required by law, regulation, or valid governmental request.
  • Business Transfer: If AiHookr is acquired or merged (you will be notified).
  • With Explicit Consent: Only when you explicitly agree.

7. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers (primarily in the US or Europe). We retain data as long as your account is active. Specifically:

  • Account profile and settings: Until deleted.
  • Usage logs and analytics: Retained for 24 months.
  • Crash logs: Retained for 90 days.
  • Billing records: Retained for 7 years for tax/legal compliance.

We use HTTPS/TLS, Firebase encryption at rest, and App Check to secure your data. However, no electronic transmission is 100% secure.

8. Your Account Deletion Rights

In full compliance with Google Play's Account Deletion requirements, you can delete your account and data at any time:

Your profile, generated scripts, and usage history will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Billing records are retained solely for legal compliance.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of your data.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your data (as described in Section 8).
  • Withdraw consent for ads or notifications via your device settings.

10. Children's Privacy

AiHookr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Users aged 13-17 should use the App with parental consent. If we discover data from a child under 13, it will be immediately deleted.

11. Permissions Your Device May Request

  • Internet Access (Mandatory): To connect to AI and Firebase services.
  • Push Notifications (Optional): For trending alerts.
  • Camera / Storage (Optional): Only if you choose to upload a profile photo.

We do not request access to contacts, location, microphone, or call history.

12. Advertising

Free plan users may watch rewarded AdMob videos to unlock features. AdMob uses your Android Advertising ID. You can opt out of personalized ads in your Android Settings (Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization). Pro subscribers see no ads.

13. International Data Transfers

By using AiHookr, operated from Bangladesh utilizing Google Cloud, you consent to your data being transferred and processed in countries (like the US) that may have different data protection laws. We rely on Google's standard contractual clauses for protection.

14. Third-Party Links and Platforms

When you share AiHookr content directly to TikTok, Instagram, or WhatsApp, your interaction is governed by their respective privacy policies.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via push notification or an in-app notice. Continued use implies acceptance.

AiHookr complies with the Bangladesh Digital Security Act 2018. We do not process content that violates laws regarding anti-state material, religious sentiments, or election-related content. Our AI filters block such generation.
