Introduction

AiHookr ("we," "our," "us," or "the Company") operates the AiHookr mobile application (the "App") available on the Google Play Store. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you download, install, and use our App.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in a transparent, fair, and lawful manner. This Privacy Policy is written to fully comply with the Google Play Developer Program Policies (updated April 2026), Google Play Data Safety requirements, Google Play AI-Generated Content Policy, Google Play Account Deletion requirements, the Bangladesh Digital Security Act, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) where applicable.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using AiHookr. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App and uninstall it from your device.

AiHookr is an AI-powered content creation tool designed to help South Asian creators — primarily in Bangladesh — generate viral scripts, hooks, hashtags, and captions for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and WhatsApp. The App uses Firebase as its backend infrastructure and Google's Gemini AI (Firebase AI) to generate content.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our service. Below is a complete and transparent disclosure of every category of data we collect.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Account Registration Data: Your name, email address, and password — or your Google account credentials (name, email, profile photo) if you use Google Sign-In.
• Profile Information: Your optional display name, creator region (e.g., Bangladesh, India), and preferred content niches (e.g., Comedy, Fashion, Tech, Food).
• AI Prompts (User-Generated Input): The text you type into the Script Generator, Hashtag Generator, Meme Engine, and ViralGuru Chat — such as your video idea, topic, tone preference, and creator style. These prompts are transmitted to Google's Gemini AI for processing (see Section 5 for full details). Please do not include sensitive personal information in your prompts.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device model, Android OS version, device language, screen resolution, and time zone.
• Device Identifiers: Android Device ID (used for free-trial abuse prevention as permitted by Google Play policy) and Google Advertising ID (GAID, if enabled by you).
• Usage & Activity Data: Features used, number of scripts/hashtags/memes generated per day, screens visited, and session duration.
• Log & Performance Data: App crash reports, error logs, and load times (via Firebase Crashlytics). IP address may be captured in server logs temporarily.
• Subscription Data: Your current plan type (Free Trial, Basic, Pro, Viral King) and subscription status. Payment is processed entirely by Google Play — we never receive your card or bank details.
• Push Notification Token: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token, collected only if you grant notification permission, used to send trending alerts and reminders.

2.3 Third-Party Services We Use

AiHookr is built on Google's infrastructure. The following third-party services may collect or process data as part of providing the App. Each is governed by its own privacy policy:

3. How We Use Your Information

• Account Creation & Authentication: To verify your identity, create your profile, and manage secure logins via Firebase Authentication.
• AI Content Generation (Core Feature): Your prompts (the text you type) are sent to Google Gemini AI to generate scripts, hashtags, meme captions, and ViralGuru chat responses. Your niche and region preferences are used to personalize the AI's output. Without this, the App cannot function.
• Daily Quota Management: We store your daily usage counts (scripts generated, hashtags generated, memes generated) in Firestore to enforce plan limits and reset them daily.
• Subscription Management: To verify your active plan via Google Play Billing, unlock paid features, and downgrade accounts if a subscription lapses.
• Push Notifications: To send you trending alerts, streak reminders, and important account notices — only if you have granted notification permission.
• App Stability & Performance: To analyze crash reports (Crashlytics) and usage patterns (Analytics) to fix bugs and improve the experience.
• Fraud & Abuse Prevention: To detect multiple accounts created by the same device (using Android Device ID), preventing abuse of the free trial system.
• Safety & Compliance: To enforce our Terms of Use, respond to reports of harmful AI outputs, and comply with legal obligations.
• Rewarded Advertising: Free Trial users who opt to watch a rewarded video ad receive AdMob or Liftoff ads, which may use the Advertising ID for relevance.

We do not use your data for: selling to third-party advertisers, training our own AI models, building external marketing profiles, or any purpose not listed above.

If you are located in the EEA or UK, our legal bases are:

5. AI-Generated Content & How Your Prompts Are Processed

This section explains exactly how your input (prompts) travels through our system to produce AI-generated content. We are committed to full transparency in compliance with Google Play's AI-Generated Content Policy and Google's Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy.

5.1 The AI Engine: Google Gemini

AiHookr uses Google Gemini AI (specifically the Gemini 2.5 Flash model) accessed through Firebase AI Logic — Google's managed, enterprise-grade AI infrastructure — to generate all content within the App: scripts, hooks, hashtag packs, meme captions, and ViralGuru chat responses.

All AI-generated content is clearly labeled as AI-generated within the App's interface. AiHookr is not the creator of this content — it is the creator tool. You are the content creator who decides whether, how, and where to use the AI's output.

5.2 How Your Prompts Are Processed

When you use any AI feature in AiHookr, the following data flow occurs:

• Step 1 — You enter a Prompt: You type your video idea, topic, tone, or question into the App.
• Step 2 — AiHookr enriches the Prompt: We combine your input with your creator profile context (your selected niche, your region, your language preference, and a system instruction that defines the AI's behavior) to build a structured request. Your name, email, and account ID are never included in the prompt sent to the AI.
• Step 3 — Prompt is sent to Google Gemini AI: The structured prompt is transmitted securely via HTTPS/TLS to Google's Gemini AI servers for generation. This transmission is governed by Google's Generative AI Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.
• Step 4 — AI generates a response: Gemini AI processes the prompt and returns the generated text (script, hashtags, meme idea, or chat reply).
• Step 5 — Response displayed to you: The AI output is shown in the App. We store a count of how many generations you have used today in Firestore (for quota enforcement) but we do not permanently store the full text of your prompts or the AI's responses in our database.

5.3 Prompt Data Retention

• AiHookr's servers: We do not permanently store the content of your prompts or AI responses in Firebase Firestore. Only your usage count (e.g., "3 scripts today") is stored for quota management.
• Google Gemini AI: Google may temporarily retain prompt data per their standard AI infrastructure policies to provide the service and for safety monitoring. Google states that prompts sent via the Firebase AI Logic (Vertex AI) API are not used to train Google's foundational AI models by default. Refer to Google Cloud AI Data Governance for details.
• Your device: Generated content displayed on screen is not automatically saved by the App. It exists in your device's temporary memory until you navigate away.

5.4 Safety Filters on Prompts

AiHookr applies a two-layer safety system:

• System Prompt Guardrails (Layer 1): Every request to Gemini AI includes safety instructions that restrict the AI from generating content that violates local laws, promotes hate speech, contains election-sensitive material, sexually exploits anyone, or contains self-harm content.
• Google Gemini Safety Filters (Layer 2): Google's Gemini AI has built-in safety filters that automatically block harmful outputs, independent of our instructions.

Despite these filters, no AI system is perfect. If you encounter any AI output that appears harmful, illegal, or inappropriate, please report it immediately via the flag icon inside the App or by emailing support@aihookr.com.

5.5 Your Responsibilities as a Creator

• You are solely responsible for the content of the prompts you submit.
• Do not enter sensitive personal information (ID numbers, passwords, financial details, health data) into any AI prompt field.
• Do not enter personally identifiable information about third parties into prompts.
• You must review all AI-generated content before publishing it to social media. The AI is a creative assistant, not a fact-checker.
• You are responsible for ensuring that the content you publish complies with the laws of your country and the terms of the social media platform you post to.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with advertisers for external marketing purposes. Data is shared only in the following strictly limited circumstances:

• With Google (Core Infrastructure): Your data is processed by Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, App Check, FCM), Google Gemini AI (your prompts for content generation), Google AdMob (advertising ID for rewarded ads), and Google Play Billing (subscription status). All of these are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• With Liftoff (Vungle): Free Trial users who watch rewarded ads may have device/ad ID data shared with Liftoff for ad delivery. You can opt out of personalized ads in Android Settings → Google → Ads.
• For Legal Compliance: If required by applicable law, court order, or a valid and lawful governmental request (e.g., law enforcement in Bangladesh), we may disclose the minimum data legally required.
• In a Business Transfer: If AiHookr is acquired by or merged with another company, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified via in-app notice or email at least 30 days before any such transfer.
• With Your Explicit Consent: For any purpose not listed here, we will ask for your clear, informed consent first.

7. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers (primarily in the US or Europe). We retain data as long as your account is active. Specifically:

• Account profile and settings: Until deleted.
• Usage logs and analytics: Retained for 24 months.
• Crash logs: Retained for 90 days.
• Billing records: Retained for 7 years for tax/legal compliance.

We use HTTPS/TLS, Firebase encryption at rest, and App Check to secure your data. However, no electronic transmission is 100% secure.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you have the right to:

• Access a copy of your data.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your data (as described in Section 8).
• Withdraw consent for ads or notifications via your device settings.

10. Children's Privacy

AiHookr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Users aged 13-17 should use the App with parental consent. If we discover data from a child under 13, it will be immediately deleted.

11. Permissions Your Device May Request

• Internet Access (Mandatory): To connect to AI and Firebase services.
• Push Notifications (Optional): For trending alerts.
• Camera / Storage (Optional): Only if you choose to upload a profile photo.

We do not request access to contacts, location, microphone, or call history.

12. Advertising

Free plan users may watch rewarded AdMob videos to unlock features. AdMob uses your Android Advertising ID. You can opt out of personalized ads in your Android Settings (Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization). Pro subscribers see no ads.

13. International Data Transfers

By using AiHookr, operated from Bangladesh utilizing Google Cloud, you consent to your data being transferred and processed in countries (like the US) that may have different data protection laws. We rely on Google's standard contractual clauses for protection.

14. Third-Party Links and Platforms

When you share AiHookr content directly to TikTok, Instagram, or WhatsApp, your interaction is governed by their respective privacy policies.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via push notification or an in-app notice. Continued use implies acceptance.
